Death Penalty Planner
Every death in Hytale has a cost. Half your carried items can vanish, and your armor takes a durability hit on top of that. This planner lets you load up your gear and backpack, then see exactly what the worst, average, and best outcomes look like — so you can decide whether the run is worth the risk before you step into a dangerous zone.
1 Select Your Destination Zone
2 Configure Your Equipment
Select the armor you will wear. The planner calculates durability loss on death for each piece.
3 Add Inventory Items
Add the items you plan to carry. On death, each stack has a 50% chance of dropping — you can also enter custom items with your own value estimate.
How to Use the Death Penalty Planner
Pick your destination zone
Each zone has a different recommended gear level. Higher zones contain stronger enemies and a greater chance of dying, which amplifies the impact of every dropped item.
Set up your equipment
Choose the armor you plan to wear and enter its current durability. On death, all worn armor loses 10% of its maximum durability regardless of which items drop.
Add your inventory contents
List what you plan to carry. Use the quick-add buttons for common materials, or enter custom items with your own value estimates. The planner treats each stack independently.
Read the breakdown
The three scenario cards show best, average, and worst outcomes. Check the Loadout Advisor to see which items the planner flags as too valuable to risk losing in a single run.
