⚠️ THIS IS IT - THE PERMANENT ROMANCE CHOICE
This happens at the climax of Episode 3, after Ghost Protocol and reporter confrontation.
The Scenario: "Eye of the Storm" (Final Scene)
Late night, you're exhausted in your Control office. External crisis temporarily subsided, but team rifts are obvious.
Trigger: You see a monologue: "Tonight... I don't want to be alone."
Your communicator shows two call options:
Before You Choose - Requirements Check:
- ✓ Ensure MOST of your choices in Ep 1-3 favored your intended romance
- ✓ CRITICAL: "Resource Allocation" (Choice 2) MUST have chosen their department
- ⚠️ If you tried to "balance" both, you'll fail trust checks on BOTH sides
Possible Outcomes:
✓ Trust Sufficient - Success
They immediately answer and come to your office. Deep, personal conversation ending in clear "commitment" (hand-holding, embrace). Relationship marked as "Locked-In 💕"
✗ Trust Insufficient - Failure
They answer but say: "Control? It's late, I'll brief you tomorrow." Then hang up. You enter "Lonely Route" - permanently lose BOTH romance options.
Immediate Changes:
- Locked: Chosen partner shows "Locked-In 💕" in relationship map
- Heartbreak: Unchosen partner's trust permanently -20
- Story Branch: From Episode 4 onwards, story heavily diverges based on your partner
🤝 Team Dynamics Management
Your choice WILL hurt the other person
There's no "balancing feelings." You must accept this consequence. It will show immediately in Ep 4's opening briefing.
Episode 4 Opening Response:
The unchosen person will question your decision (BB will be angry, IG will be cold).
Best response: "I respect your feelings, but my decision won't change. We still have a mission."
Any attempt to "apologize" or "explain" will be seen as weakness (BB Trust -5) or insincerity (IG Trust -5). Professionalism and firmness are the only way to maintain "colleague" relationship.

Lonely Control
In "Romance Choice Moment", both BB and IG simultaneously "reject" you due to insufficient trust.
The Lost Data (Side Mission)
Unlock in Ep 4 if you chose [A] in "Ghost Protocol" (abandon agent). IG offers high-risk, high-reward mission to recover losses.
Coffee Break (Easter Egg)
In "Resource Allocation" scene, don't choose upgrade yet. Go to your office, click coffee machine 3 times. Control says: "I need something stronger than coffee." Tech-Head sends strange energy drink (Team Morale +1).
🚫 Common Mistakes to Avoid
Trying to "Have Both"
Most fatal mistake. Trying to balance BB and IG will cause insufficient trust on both sides, earning "Lonely Control" achievement and permanent Team Morale -15.
Ignoring Tech-Head (Leo)
Players focus only on BB and IG, but Leo is team's tech core. If you never interact with him, he'll refuse to help in Ep 4 key moments (like refusing to hack Shadow-Net).
Taking Sides Too Early in Briefing Room
Unless you're dead set on "extreme route", choosing [A] or [B] in Scene 2 causes team morale collapse, making subsequent missions harder (enemy alertness +10%).
Choosing [B] Rescue in Ghost Protocol
Letting BB get injured LOCKS you out of his powerful skills in Ep 4. Very costly choice.

Can I avoid making the romance choice in Ep 3?
No. The story forces you into "Eye of the Storm" scene. If you don't choose or fail trust checks, system defaults to "Lonely Route".
What's the gameplay difference between BB and IG routes?
BB Route: Missions favor direct confrontation, public speeches, boosting public support. You manage media and public opinion.
IG Route: Missions favor stealth, data hacking, assassinations. You manage intelligence networks and "shadow war".
After choosing BB, can I stay friendly with IG?
Yes, but only as "professional colleagues". In Ep 4, there's a side conversation where you can try to repair the working relationship. Choose "I still need your professional abilities" to stop further trust decline.
If I mess up Ep 3 choice, can I fix it in Ep 4?
No. Ep 3 choices are permanent. That's why it's called "Escalation".
Can I skip the Resource Allocation choice?
No. Tech-Head will force you to make a decision.
Which is the "best" choice? BB or IG?
There's no "best", only "what you want". BB route is more explosive and dramatic; IG route is more tense and suspenseful. Follow your instinct as Control.
