The Situation

After defeating Shroud in combat, he's cornered but reveals he has a hostage (Trackar, your tech support). He makes you an offer:

Shroud's Deal:
"Give me the Astral Pulse device and I walk away. Keep it, and your friend dies."

Context: The Astral Pulse is the key to SDN's power. It's what makes hero augmentation possible. Giving it to Shroud would be catastrophic... but saving Trackar is important too.
