Accept Moss's Quest First
The Heavy Key ONLY spawns AFTER you accept Moss's quest "Unlock the Path." If you haven't talked to Moss yet:
- Find Moss at his cabin (northwest of starting area, past the frozen lake)
- Talk to him multiple times until he mentions the locked gate
- Accept the quest - check your quest log to confirm
Exact Key Location
The Heavy Key is in the Old Shed (not Moss's cabin!):
- Location: Southeast corner of The Meadows area
- Landmark: Near the large stone formation and berry bushes
- Building: Small gray wooden shed with broken door
- Inside: Key is on the workbench (glowing item)
Common Mistakes
- ✓ Verify quest is active in your quest log
- ✓ Check you're in the correct shed (there are 2 similar buildings)
- ✓ Look on the workbench, NOT the floor

- Go to the large gate at the north border of The Meadows

IMPORTANT: Granite ore ONLY exists in Shadow Pines. It does NOT spawn in The Meadows or Whisper Woods!
Unlock Shadow Pines First
You MUST complete Moss's Heavy Key quest before granite becomes available:
- Find the Heavy Key in the Old Shed (see solution above)
- Unlock the north gate
- Enter Shadow Pines area
Where to Find Granite
Granite deposits are in Shadow Pines:
- Primary location: Northeast section near the dark forest
- Visual cue: Dark gray-black rock formations (darker than normal stone)
- Requirements: You need a Flint Pickaxe minimum to mine granite
- Amount needed: 12 Granite ore for your first Granite Pickaxe
