About This Project

I picked up Obsessed: Trace during a Steam sale. I was just looking for a quick horror game to play over the weekend, but it turned into something way more than that. The story sucked me in completely - a simple delivery job spiraling into this dark mystery about kidnapped children and moral choices that actually made me pause before clicking.

After my first playthrough, I got what I thought was the "good" ending. Felt pretty satisfied... until I checked the achievement list and realized I'd only scratched the surface. There were multiple endings I'd completely missed, and some achievements that seemed impossible to figure out without replaying the entire game multiple times.

Why I Built This Site

I'm the kind of person who can't leave a game half-finished. I needed to see all 4 endings, unlock all 7 achievements, and understand exactly how my choices affected the outcome. Problem was, most guides I found online were either incomplete, outdated, or just plain wrong.

So I did what any obsessed gamer would do - I replayed the game six times, took detailed notes on every single choice, tracked which decisions led to which outcomes, and documented everything. By the time I was done, I had a notebook full of scribbles and a complete understanding of the game's branching paths.

That's when I thought: "If I went through all this trouble, other players probably have the same questions." So I turned my notes into this website. No fancy marketing speak, no fluff - just the information I wish I'd had when I started playing.

What You'll Find Here

Endings Walkthrough

All 4 endings fully documented - True Ending, Tragic Ending, Incomplete Victory, and the Guilt & Grief path. Each one has specific requirements, critical choices, and common mistakes that'll lock you out. I've tested every route personally, so you won't waste hours chasing the wrong path.

Achievement Guides

Complete breakdown of all 7 achievements. Some are story-related and impossible to miss, but others require very specific actions at exact moments. I've marked which ones are missable and explained exactly how to unlock them without spoiling the story.

Character Relationships

Understanding how Arya, Viktor, Tama, and the kidnapped children connect is crucial for getting the True Ending. I've mapped out who's connected to who, and why those relationships matter for your choices.

Interactive Tools

Built some calculators and trackers to help you plan your playthrough - an Ending Predictor that shows which path you're on based on your choices, a Decision Tree visualizer, and a Completionist Planner for getting 100% in the minimum number of runs.

Choice Database

Every single major decision point in the game, with outcomes explained. No vague "this affects the ending" warnings - I tell you exactly what changes and why it matters.

My Gaming Background

I've been playing story-driven indie games for years. Stuff like Undertale, Night in the Woods, Detention - games where your choices actually matter and the story sticks with you after you close the game. Obsessed: Trace hit different though. The moral dilemma of sparing Tama when every instinct screams for revenge? That choice genuinely made me uncomfortable, which is exactly what good horror should do.

I've completed the game with:

  • All 4 endings unlocked
  • All 7 achievements at 100%
  • Roughly 18 hours total playtime across 6 runs
  • One failed "perfect run" where I killed Tama (never making that mistake again)

How I Created the Guides

Everything on this site comes from personal testing and verification. I didn't just copy other guides or make assumptions. For each ending, I played through at least twice to confirm the requirements. For tricky achievements like "Heroic Rescue," I tested different approaches until I found the consistent method.

The character portraits and item images you see? Those are from the game's visual assets, carefully selected to help you recognize important items and NPCs when you encounter them during gameplay. The relationship maps are hand-drawn based on dialogue and story events I documented during my playthroughs.

When I wasn't sure about something - like whether you absolutely need to spare Tama for the True Ending - I tested it multiple times before writing the guide. If I say something is required, it's because I confirmed it through actual gameplay, not speculation.

Keeping It Real

Look, I'm not going to pretend this is some professional wiki with a team of editors. It's just me, a gamer who got way too invested in a horror game and decided to share what I learned. You'll find typos. Some guides might be longer than they need to be because I explain things the way I'd want them explained to me.

But everything here is accurate. I test updates whenever I notice something off. If you find an error or have a better strategy, reach out - I'm always looking to improve the guides based on real player experiences.

Get In Touch

Got questions about a specific ending? Found a faster route to an achievement? Just want to discuss that gut-punch of a True Ending? I'm always happy to hear from fellow players.

About Obsessed: Trace

If you haven't played the game yet, here's what you're in for: You play as Arya, a fried rice shop owner searching for his missing employee Valeria. What starts as a simple missing person case quickly spirals into something darker involving kidnapped children, a dangerous antagonist named Viktor, and impossible choices about mercy versus justice.

The game is relatively short - you can finish one playthrough in about 3 hours - but it's designed for multiple runs. Different choices lead to completely different endings, and some of the most interesting content is locked behind decisions that feel "wrong" in the moment.

It's available on Steam for around $10-15 depending on sales. If you like narrative horror with moral dilemmas and multiple endings, it's absolutely worth picking up.

Site Philosophy

I built this site with one rule: don't waste players' time. No clickbait, no stretching a simple answer into five paragraphs, no "comprehensive guide" that's actually just a list of tips everyone already knows.

When you're stuck at a critical choice and need to know the consequences, you shouldn't have to scroll through someone's life story or watch a 20-minute video. You should get a straight answer - this choice leads here, that choice leads there, here's why it matters.

Everything here is free, no registration required, no paywalls. I made this because I love the game and wanted to help other players experience everything it has to offer. That's it.

Future Updates

The game is pretty stable at this point - no major updates or DLC announced as far as I know. But I keep an eye on the Steam community hub and update the guides if anything changes. I'm also planning to add more interactive tools, like a full dialogue tree viewer and a "what if" scenario calculator for seeing how different choice combinations affect outcomes.

If you have ideas for tools or guides you'd like to see, let me know. This site exists to help players, so I'm always open to suggestions.
